Grapes.

Life.
Life is like a bowl of grapes.
If you’re lucky, you pick a sweet grape.
If you’re not, it’s sour and it shows on your face.
Sometimes, it gives you a break and that’s when you get a grape that doesn’t taste sweet or sour.
Out of the big bowl of grapes, I managed to pick out only very few sweet tasting grapes.
Perhaps, only two in twenty were sweet.
You can’t choose which grape you want.
You can’t choose the sweetest out of the lot,
because they all look alike.
They’re either all green or all red.
You still have to take a bite out of that sour grape to find out that it is indeed sour.
You can’t choose to throw that sour grape every time you get one.
In fact, that acid-filled bowl fed my hunger.
You can only hope that after every sour grape,
there’ll finally be a sweet grape for you.
That sweet grape is a simple example of life’s little luxury.
One that everyone is trying to constantly chase after.
Infrequent and temporary.
